“Silver Arrow” to end with large scale exercise operation

On October 5 the multinational exercise “Silver Arrow” with large field training battle where more than 2000 soldiers from five nations will participate.

The final battle of the exercise will be observed by Minister of Defence Raimonds Vējonis, Chief of Defence Lieutenant General Raimonds Graube, as well as ambassadors and military attaches.

The integrated multinational Latvian and Great Britain battalions will train the offence operation while integrated multinational Estonian and Norwegian battalions will train the defence operation during the final battle. U.S. 173rd airborne brigade  will assist offence operation with paratroopers.

From September 29 to October 6 the international Land Force exercise „Silver Arrow” is conducted in Adazi Training Area. More than 2100 soldiers from Latvia, Estonia, Great Britain, Greece, Norway and U.S participate in the exercise and train to conduct offence, defence and delay operations.
