From 15 to 19 January, the Land Forces Mechanised Infantry Brigade and the NATO Enhanced Combat Presence in Latvia Air Support Controllers will conduct the Furious Wolf 24 military exercise in Ādaži and Sigulda districts.

Furious Wolf 24 is regularly held in all three Baltic States and is aimed at training the integration of close air support in support of units in urban and non-urban environments.

The exercise will bring together Close Air Support Controllers from the United States, the Czech Republic, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Norway and Germany, as well as Joint Fire Observers and Close Air Support Controllers from the Mechanised Infantry Brigade, together with UAV specialists from the 1st Riga Brigade and the 27th Infantry Battalion of the Home Guard.

Such military exercises significantly enhance the understanding of the role of units in joint tasks and make an invaluable contribution to comprehensive national defence by facilitating the host nation's support functions to incoming units from allied countries.

Attention citizens!

As part of the military exercise, low-level overflights by Allied Air Force fighters will take place in Latvian airspace during both daylight and dark hours.

During the exercise, military equipment and troops will be moved along the main and regional roads of Latvia.

We thank the citizens for their support in strengthening Latvia's defence.
