Military Exercise “Iron Spear 2024” Conducted at Ādaži Training Area
From October 28 to October 30, the NATO multinational brigade stationed in Latvia is organizing the “Iron Spear 2024” exercises at the Ādaži Training Area. The porpuse of this exercise is to enhance interoperability and procedures among mechanized infantry units from allied nations.
During “Iron Spear 2024,” shooting competitions will be held for tank and infantry fighting vehicle crews to determine the best teams among those representing various brigade nations, along with invited units from Lithuania, Estonia, and Poland. The exercise demonstrates NATO’s unity and ability to cooperate, thereby strengthening regional collective security.
The “Iron Spear” exercises at Ādaži have been conducted annually since 2017, establishing a firm military tradition that allows soldiers to share knowledge, tactics, familiarize themselves with equipment, and compete for the title of the best crew.
