Between October 26 and November 8, 2026, NATO Multinational Brigade Latvia (MNB LVA) will conduct its largest projection exercise to date in Latvia. Once on location they will carry out a variety of tasks ranging from real-life operational support activities to joint training with Latvian National Armed Forces.

Exercise activties will take place in the municipalities of Ogre, Jēkabpils, Aizkraukle, Daugavpils, Alūksne, Balvi, Gulbene, Madona, Rēzekne, Augšdaugava and Rēzekne city. Brigade units will begin the process of restoring and cleaning their respective areas of operation and redeploy to Adazi and Ceri Military Bases between November 4 and 8.

For Public Awareness

During Resolute Reforger, there will be increased movement of Allied military vehicles on roads between the Adazi and Ceri Military Bases and the aforementioned municipalities. All movement of military vehicles will take place in accordance with Latvian road traffic regulations. Local residents may also see CH-146 Griffon helicopters flying overhead in support of the various MNB LVA subunits.

No live fire or blank ammunition will be used outside of designated military training areas. This exercise does not pose a risk to the civilian population.

“Mission Rehearsal Activity Resolute Reforger will allow us to validate our ability to deploy combat-credible forces across significant distances, sustain them in the field, and maintain command, control, and communications throughout the mission rehearsal. When called upon to take part in the defence of Latvia, our success will depend on our ability to operate beyond the confines of a military base, integrate with our allies, and continue to communicate effectively across a dispersed battlespace. Rehearsing in realistic conditions here in Latvia ensures our soldiers, leaders, and support systems are ready to respond wherever and whenever they are needed.” Colonel David Brassard, Commander Multinational Brigade Latvia.
